WORKSHOP OVERVIEW

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Dr. Christie Vanorsdale, Ed.D., M.S.Ed.Learning Ecosystem Architect | Principal Consultant at Vanorsdale Learning Lab

Dr. Christie Vanorsdale transforms learning infrastructures from reactive cost centers into strategic business drivers. With a doctorate in instructional technology and leadership and over 15 years of experience, she bridges cognitive science, systems thinking, and data strategy to build sustainable learning ecosystems.

Her multifaceted background spans psychology, international education, organizational learning architecture, and teacher training. She has designed learning management systems from the ground up, revamped enterprise-wide training infrastructures, and turned struggling compliance programs into strategic assets—always beginning with diagnostic data, not assumptions.

Dr. Vanorsdale’s work is grounded in evidence-based learning science, applying cognitive load theory, scaffolding, and backward design not just to content, but to entire learning systems. Her published research and studies appear in peer-reviewed education journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field through both scholarship and practice.

She regularly presents at national conferences, including The Learning Guild and the Online Learning Consortium, where she shares practical frameworks for integrating learning science with organizational strategy.
