Mentorship Program

The ATD Suncoast Chapter is proud to sponsor mentorship programs designed to build and strengthen careers, build confidence, and expand opportunities for growth in the talent development field (e.g., instructional design, technical communications, training & facilitation, etc.).

The ATD Mentoring program runs for 4-months. Mentors and Mentees will focus on sharing and developing their talent development skills.

The Tech Comm SIG Mentoring program runs for the academic year. Mentors and Mentees will focus on sharing and developing their tech comm skills.

Program Details

Do you need help navigating to the next step in your career? Or maybe you are passionate about helping others grow. Whatever your story, this mentorship program is for you!

• Each mentee is paired with one mentor for program term, with the option to continue by mutual agreement

• Pairings are based on applications, professional goals, and shared interests

• The programs run concurrently and on different timelines:

1. ATD Mentoring: bi-annually from January through May and July through November.

2. Tech Comm SIG Mentoring: annually through the academic school year.

• Time Commitment: 1–2 hours (minimum) per month, dependent on mentee/mentor goals

Criteria to Apply:

• Be an ATD Suncoast member in good standing

• Be willing to commit to at least two hours a month to the program (includes time with your mentor or mentee)

• Attend the final session at the conclusion of the program
