Training professionals (like us) are expected more and more to also be Project Managers. This is especially true of those of us who work primarily as Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs). In fact, it’s no longer uncommon for ISD job descriptions to include project management (PM) skills as one of the requirements for hire. However, PM skills do not always come naturally to us. Risk Management, Work Breakdown Structures, Stakeholder Management and Scope Creep can seem like a foreign language. This presentation will take some of the mystery and perhaps some of the fear out of project management, and hopefully give you some new tools and ideas that you can use right away.
