Unlocking the Knowledge Potential of Your Organization

Organizations are typically inefficient in how they share information: valuable knowledge is continuously lost when people leave their organization, and there are many disparate systems (email, Skype, memos, and social networking systems) in which employees communicate. We are not lacking in ways in to communicate. So why is so much valuable information locked away in people’s minds, mails, and memos?

Studies show that 70 percent of learning occurs through experience or on-the-job training. Twenty percent of learning occurs through mentoring, feedback, and discussion with others. Ten percent of learning occurs through structured courses and programs, such as online learning content. Most of us are focused on activities which fall into the 10 percent category. By continuing to work as we always have, we are missing a major opportunity to unleash the knowledge potential of our audience. This session will discuss the best in learning management, the best in mobile, and most importantly, the best in collaborative knowledge management. Our discussions will showcase how collaborative knowledge management can harness the knowledge and power within your organization.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Options for harnessing the knowledge within your organization
  • How to encourage collaboration
  • How to create conversations around content
  • How to create demand for content from your audience
