Communicating with Impact – Applying Whole Brain Thinking For Improved Results

Program Description:

Today's business environment is complex and it's pushing your managers and emerging leaders to become more nimble, adaptable and innovative. Being agile and innovative requires being empathetic, open-minded and connecting with your audience at a deeper level than ever before. To quickly build a leader’s agility, it must start with their thinking style. Learning and understanding the thinking styles of your customers and expanding the thinking styles of your workforce beyond their “regular” preferences may not be a luxury, but a necessity. The application of “Whole Brain® Thinking ” has proven to help individuals at all levels become more productive, leading to heightened levels of employee and team performance.

  • We all have preferences for how we like to think and communicate and often expect others will naturally understand what we say and how we say it. Learn about your own thinking preference at work and learn how to look and listen for clues about your employees and your customers.
  • Using the Whole Brain model construct, we can learn the importance of building and utilizing more diverse teams for improved innovation and execution
  • Knowing your own thinking and communication style matters. Knowing others’ styles matters more. Knowing your style under stress matters most! Being aware of our preferences for thinking helps us build a communication strategy, especially under duress.
  • We are at our best when we are present and are aware of our internal conversations. Learning how to uncover the ‘second conversation’ and bring it out in the open can lead to more powerful conversations.
