Organizations often want more products and less excuses from learning and development. How can we design learning experiences that are user centric and have impact for our organizations? In this session, we will explore learning experience design, the job title that has exploded in the last 3-5 years in the talent and development job market. We will also go into the LXD Capability Model created by Cara North for her upcoming ATD book Learning Experience Design: Designing for Users and Impact and discuss future implications for learning experiences.

• Operationalize components of learning experience design
• Forecast future implications for broader learning and development

Biography:

Cara North is an award-winning learning experience leader who has worked for some of the biggest organizations in corporate and higher education settings. Cara has served as a past president of the board of directors for Central Ohio ATD and has also been a national ATD International Conference & EXPO volunteer.
