ATD Competency Model vs. ATD Talent Development Capability Model

Join us for an evening of networking with your L&D peers and an interactive discussion about the changes to the ATD Competency Model and the new ATD Talent Development Capability Model. This event is brought to you by the Sarasota Geographic Interest Group (GIG).

Description:

Goodbye old pentagon-shaped ATD Competency Model - Hello new ATD Talent Development Capability Model!

Are you planning on increasing your knowledge and skills this year, but not sure what to do next? This new model is your map for navigating new opportunities. ATD models determine what is critical in our profession. ATD bases their course offerings, webinars, certificates, and certifications (CPLP and APTD) around the most current model. Learn about the new capability model and what the major changes are from the old model.  We will also discuss changes to the CPLP exam, big changes for current CPLPs, and updates to the Certification Handbook.

In our evening together, we will focus on:

  • Discussing the transition from the competency model to the capability model
  • Exploring the new ATD Talent Development Capability Model
  • Sharing ATD’s learning opportunities
  • Sharing information about the changes to the certifications and exams for current CPLPs and APTDs.
