Building an Online Portfolio:

What, Why, How

July 10, 2015

12:00pm - 1:00pm Eastern

There are tons of folks out there applying for new positions within the e-learning industry, but very few of them have a portfolio.

Without an e-learning portfolio, prospective clients or organizations are unable to visualize how your competencies might address their needs. This can be incredibly frustrating when you're looking to build your client base or move into an adjacent market. Building an e-learning portfolio can seem daunting; maybe you aren't legally allowed to use your work samples in a portfolio, maybe you don't know where to start, maybe you just don't have time.

This session is meant to emphasize the importance of having an e-learning portfolio, while identifying the primary challenges which may be faced.

Building your e-learning portfolio doesn't need to be a daunting task, and this session will provide some simple solutions to these challenges, and will hopefully motivate you to take steps that will enhance your job prospects.

By the end of this session, you will understand:

  • Why having an e-learning portfolio is so important;
  • Some of the common challenges associated with building an e-learning portfolio;
  • Why building your portfolio doesn’t need to be challenging; and
  • How to make your portfolio work for you.
