Topic-closeout Format
Politics in Organizations (Part 3) Framing politics as a cultural competency, to open new routes to organizational impact.

Our March session will complete our exploration of Politics in Organizations. Prior sessions played with politics, and built the case for politics being a source of positive potential. What's next? We'll sharpened our perspective on "politics as competency" using a comparative culture lens.

If you are thinking that a slippery topic like politics won't intersect easily with a tidy list of competencies... you aren't alone. We will frame our customary interactive approach using an application of Trompenaarrs "Dimensions of Culture," and then mine our own experiences to create competency articulations from real-world examples.

We hope you will join us!

(Please RSVP and briefly ponder the PRE-THINK, both noted below.)
"Pre-think"
Select an organization you know well, and think of someone who is joining the senior leadership staff. What are one or two non-technical skills or abilities that separate those that are very successful/effective from those that aren't or weren't?

Facilitators:
Claudia Pires
Claudia has worked with organizations to define strategic HR priorities, optimize people management processes, develop leadership talent and sustain organizational change. She is the founder of InspiHRed, provider of Strategic HR Management consulting and services.
Tim Flood
Tim facilitates inter-organization teams, teaches the enneagram, helps plan the OD-SIG events, and is Claudia's back-up on this one!

OD SIG's purpose
is to provide a forum for
both internal and external practitioners in OD and performance consulting to acquire and share knowledge of experiences, best practices, trends, and methodologies/tools
in the OD profession.
