The Assistant Director (AD) of the Evett Simmons Center for Multicultural Appreciation supports the Center's director in organizational, administrative, and program development in furthering the mission and goals of the Multicultural Center, Student Development and Florida Southern College. The AD serves on the Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) panel for the Office of Accountability, Education, and Compliance and supervises the work-study students ensuring compliance with campus rules and regulations. Being well-versed and competent in multiculturalism and training the AD provides diversity related training on campus as requested.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
To be considered, applicants must complete the application form and include a resume along with a Personal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Statement explaining why valuing DEI is an important quality in the role of the Assistant Director of the Evett Simmons Multicultural Center at Florida Southern College.
Further, applicants selected for interview will be required to prepare a presentation in which the applicant will facilitate a 15-30 minute segment of a diversity session for students with the interview panel in the background.
