    Job Description


    The Manager of Learning and Development works with the Director of Learning and Talent to oversee Orientation & Onboarding, Associate Training & Education and Top Talent & Manager Development.  This role focuses on helping PODS build its leadership pipeline, identify innovative ways to create a positive associate experience through onboarding and development to sustain a culture focused on delivering results.  This Manager will design, develop and deliver programs to facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives. The individual is expected to anticipate emerging learning trends and proactively create programs to help address the needs of our associates and managers.


     Define, develop and facilitate comprehensive annual learning plans to meet business priorities which include ongoing, required and targeted training and development.

     Develop and drive a manager development and advancement program that prepares them for current and future organizational needs, particularly those identified through succession planning as top talent.

     Build and execute PODS learning and development road map that connects all training across the organization by area, including but not limited to job skill training, compliance training, behavioral training and skill building training.

     Work with key partners in the organization to support a culture of learning by ensuring that development conversations are taking place, programs are being implemented and tools and resources are relevant to the areas in need of them. Work to deliver programs that engages and inspires associates at all levels and drives accountability of the learner.

     Create leading indicators and metrics for all programs and training. Ensure consistency across all curriculum design, implementation and evaluation. Identify ROI measures in advance of launching new programs to ensure a way to assess impact and application of training.

     Develop and/or maintain learning materials for classroom, online delivery, self-study and performance support by implementing instructional design techniques and learning methods. Prioritize focus on the development of user-friendly and engaging online learning that is easily accessible.

     Work with Director to manage and oversee all areas of the career path implementation, including updating and building the model to achieve its full functionality. Ensure initiative and program alignment with desired outcomes of succession plans and talent advancement across the organization. Ensure the customer experience is positive and promotes high utilization.


    JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

     Expert knowledge of management development concepts, models, tools, programs, suppliers and learning methodologies.

     Possess and apply strong knowledge base in organizational development, organizational learning theory, instructional design, and technology to the selection and design of appropriate learning solutions.

     Ability to effectively demonstrate capabilities as a Coach/Consultant for performance, development and overall team/individual success.

     Strong consultative and communication skills.

     Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

     Track record of designing and implementing learning and development management programs and processes.

     Candidate should possess exceptional facilitation and presentation skills, strong mentoring and coaching skills, as well as project management skills.

     Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Organizational Development or Effectiveness, Human Resources, Education, or other related fields. Master’s Degree preferred.

     Minimum 7 years of direct experience in learning and development, specifically designing, delivering and implementing training plans and programs.

     Minimum of 5 years leading a team in learning and development.
