Neurokeys that Impact Growth and Fixed Mindsets

Description:

Personal mindsets influence thoughts, actions, and effectiveness. Understanding the brain biology and processes that impact the development of mindsets can help us structure higher impact learning experiences.

In this interactive session, Marcey Walsh makes neuroscience concepts simple to understand and easy to apply in training and development on a daily basis. We’ll explore indicators, benefits, and drawbacks of both growth and fixed mindsets through the lens of the brain systems that create them.  The session includes hands-on practice with the techniques.

Participants will:

  • Identify the characteristics of fixed and growth mindsets

  • Identify their own mindset ratio

  • Discuss the role of brain chemistry in the development of mindsets

  • Describe the Cycle of Mindset Development and Change

  • Demonstrate synaptic growth as related to mindsets

  • Identify opportunities to mindset awareness

  • Practice strategic feedback to support growth mindset

This focus has resulted in the development of the Pictures You TouchTM and Skill CollectorTM series of assessments, tools and techniques used by professionals in the medical and financial fields to help clients facing important decisions.
