Designing Organizational Coaching Programs:

How to Maximize Their Impact

Coaching activities have been expanding rapidly in business.  It’s clear that coaching can impact an individual’s performance. But from a broader organizational standpoint, the challenge is to determine how to design and implement coaching programs that have maximum organizational impact.

We’ll be addressing a variety of considerations involved in designing organizational coaching programs, such as:

  • Who is being coached?  (e.g. leaders with certain titles, high potentials in a succession program, leaders in their first 90 days in a key role)
  • Who is providing the coaching? (e.g. internal coach, external coach, or internal mentor)
  • How intensive is the coaching process? (e.g. how long is it, what types of tools are used, the documentation required)

In the session, we’ll start by sharing information about the above design considerations.  Then, we’ll engage a panel of experienced practitioners to address how they’ve answered these questions to best match their organization’s needs.  And then we’ll be calling on the experience of the meeting participants.

Panelists are:

  • Karen Droz – Executive Coach for Fifth 3rd Bank.
  • Carlini Rivers  – Organizational Development Manager at Tech Data
  • Robert Canino – Director of Chapter Development for Central Florida Chapter of the International Coach Federation
