For groups  and teams:

the tools we use, and the tools we need.

We all have go-to tools we use working with groups.  And at times wish we had better ones.

Our next session will mine the wisdom of our own group, in multiple rounds of facilitated discussions. Rounds will be organized around team life-cycles, simplified to mean beginnings, middles, and endings. Core principles to each will be presented briefly, leaving the bulk of our time for discussion.

What works best to start up a group, to help a team deal with conflict or to get unstuck when in the muck, to celebrate successes and even to pull the plug – we plan to make space for all of these. We may strike a balance between the needs we hear expressed and the tools we have to meet them. If we don’t we can create a “tools-needed list” and use it to frame for our next session with a group-team focus.

Hope to see you on Friday, September 5.

"Pre-think"

Please come prepared to share 1 - 3 tools or processes you use with groups... those finely sharpened by your experience.

Be ready to give a short briefing regarding the tool's intent and your experience of its impact, as well as guidance for those wanting to learn more.

Facilitators

Tim Flood is an Enneagram-literate coach-consultant, and facilitates inter-organizational teams, and is a current member of the OD-sig planners group.
