  • 1. What the Heck is my ROI for this Project?

Session Description: Have you always been a bit puzzled by how to measure the ROI (return on investment) of your training projects? If so, this could be one of the most practical and strategic sessions you will spend on your professional development this year. To make the most of this session, bring two or three project ideas currently (or soon-to-be) underway.

This hands-on working session is designed to help you crack the code on practically measuring the impact of your project to the organization as you:

* Identify key metrics that matter to your project sponsor

* Explore key questions to gain the support of your project stakeholders

* Build a simple project plan to help you execute your ROI measurement strategy

Objectives: Given a current project and the tools available in this session, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify practical ways to measure return on investment for a current project
  • Apply principles of meaningful ROI measurement to future projects
  • Outline four simple milestones to build a project plan to measure return on investment

In 2012 he was awarded UnitedHealth Group’s Training Innovation Award for Best Performance Improvement Measures, saving the company over $500,000 in billable time by partnering with the Quality Assurance team to reduce the amount of non-relevant training required for all audiences across the Life Sciences organization.
